Vertical Load Carrying SystemParking Structure: Post-tensioned concrete slabs supported by post-tensioned concrete beam system and reinforced concrete columns. The roof is comprised of metal deck (no fill) supported by open-web steel joists and steel beams supported by steel columns. Customer Service Building (CSB): Metal deck with concrete fill supported by steel beams and columns, with pre-manufactured steel building sitting on top. Both structures are supported by friction pendulum system (FPS) bearings below Level 2 a
Lateral Force Resisting SystemParking Structure: Special concrete moment frames, with ordinary steel moment frames and steel braced frames at the roof. CSB: Steel moment frames. Both structures are isolated by triple FPS bearings below Level 2 (displacement capacity of 32 inches).
Foundation TypeDriven steel H piles with concrete pile caps and tie beams.
RemarksThe station consists of a 3-story parking structure and a 2-story customer service building separated by seismic joints, and was designed according to the 2007 California Building Code.
