Instrumentation1998, 36 accelerometers on all floors of building.
 
Vertical Load Carrying System9" lightweight reinforced concrete slabs supported by deep beams and recinforced columns.
Lateral Force Resisting SystemReinforced concrete frames with East and West shear walls in the North-South direction and shear walls around the elevator shaft in the EW direction.
Foundation TypeA central concrete pad extneding from the East curved wall to the West curved wall as well as two parallel foundation beams in the North and South pf the pad.
RemarksThe instrumentation of the building was initiated right after its construction, but the current dense system has been deployed since 1998. Also, an eccentric mass shaker with peak frequency of 9 Hz was permanently installed on the roof in 1970.
